Pop of Red with Apropos Store

Anzeige/AD: It is no secret that I love fashion and have a weakness for all things beautiful. While I always try to keep my look as simple as possible, I love choosing bold and eye-catching accessories. I like mixing different kind of materials and styles and I absolutely love wearing high fashion in combination with casual streetwear.

Over the last couple of years, I found myself spending way more money on clothes and accessories that I really like, instead of running down town every weekend just for the sake of buying something.

I have substantially reduced my spendings at Zara and H&M to a minimum and always remind myself to think twice and buy less. Don’t get me wrong here, i’m still a regular customer at their stores and do appreciate their sense of always being up to date when it comes to fashion and the newest trends – hello fast-fashion! But: I am constantly trying to invest into timeless and basic pieces, instead of spending all my money on things that I will only wear once and that will end up in the depths of my closet.

Apropos – The Concept Store

In 1984 Klaus Ritzenhöfer and Daniel Riedo opened their first designer store in the small town of Gummersbach. Meanwhile they own and manage six exclusive Apropos locations throughout Germany. Two concept stores and a Gucci store in Cologne and one concept store each in Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Munich. Every single store offers a unique shopping experience with an extravagant interior and an extremely pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. Apropos presents a wide range of high quality designer fashion, fancy accessories, small interior pieces and a fine selection of exclusive cosmetics. I always like getting inspired at their stores.

My Look with Apropos

When Apropos Store invites you to take a glimpse at the new spring/summer collection, you have to say yes. I visited their beautiful store in Cologne last Friday and immediately fell in love with so many pieces from the new collections. I created three looks with all my favourites and shot some great street style photos over the weekend. Even though we’re still facing cold temperatures lately, it felt like spring for a second.

The minute I saw this beautiful Off-White shirt, I new I had to wear it. As you can see in my previous post here, I have a thing for Off-White styles. I’m obsessed with the designs and the way the brand always refers to our current culture and embraces the now. Casual street wear with a sophisticated twist.

How cool is this asymmetric striped cotton shirt from the new spring/ summer ’18 collection? I’m totally in love with the contrasting sides and clashing colours. I like the way, the horizontal stripes work with the vertical ones and create a uniform picture. The flared silhouette and the handkerchief hem emphasize the modern layering look. While the classic stripes and  the sharp collar add a rather serious and sophisticated appearance to the look, the asymmetric design in contrast underlines its edgy and fashion-forward presence.

You can never go wrong with red accessories and a pair of classic blue jeans. This beautiful Céline Trio Bag is such a classic yet outstanding piece. I love the way these three pouches are attached together with delicate snap buttons. The bag can be worn cross body or it can be carried as a clutch. You only have to attach the external pouches together.

What do you guys think? Do you like the look?
